Pain Literacy
Webinar
Join Amber for a 45 min webinar to learn how Pain Literacy can help you and the clients you work with.
Let's chat about why it is important not just to have the knowledge, but how to connect and help clients build their path back to wellness.
Next webinar is Mar. 19th @ 6:30pm MST
Why Pain Literacy?
Understanding how pain becomes persistent is the first step, but knowing how to connect with clients and help them build their path back to wellness is the key.
How can you take the information that you learn and build a conversation, not just regurgitate it back to the client in the hope that they will understand.
Yes, pain science is a key part of this course, but so is movement rehab and being psychologically informed. No, we are not psychologists, but we can take our treatments with each client and build upon all aspects of pain recovery.
This includes the mind/body connection.
I could talk about this for hours. Join me for 45 min and learn why pain literacy is no longer an optional form of knowledge within the health profession.
Whether you are a massage therapist, personal trainer, yoga therapist, kinesiologist, physiotherapist, osteopath, etc...
This knowledge truly can help you and your clients.
Pain Literacy is for health professionals who want to:
Move beyond the one-size-fits-all approach
Better understand the nervous system's role in persistent pain
Support clients as individuals, not just diagnoses
“Chronic pain is not all about the body, and it’s not all about the brain – it’s everything. Target everything.”
– From Stanford’s Sean Mackey, MD, PhD and his lecture “Pain and the Brain”
